"SCOPE NODE," that directly translates subtle fingertip movement

In early April, ELECOM CO., LTD. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President: Junji Hada) will release a 3-button laser sensor mouse "SCOPE NODE: M-SN1UL series" designed under an unconventional concept of "Like you're holding a pen!".

In 1988, ELECOM created a sensation in the global PC peripheral devices market by introducing a unique, egg-shaped "Egg Mouse". At that very moment the mouse, formerly considered no more than a tool, met with design. Today, mice are available in many different designs. It is noteworthy that ELECOM has maintained its No. 1 sales ranking* for nine years straight in the BCN AWARD's "Mouse Category."

The SCOPE NODE: M-SN1UL series, a 3-button mouse designed with the unconventional concept of "Like you're holding a pen!", results from ELECOM's untiring efforts to achieve rational design.

The SCOPE NODE: M-SN1UL series incorporates a laser sensor capable of achieving a higher recognition rate in low-contrast situations than that of a conventional optical mouse. The sensor can pick up subtle movement of the mouse and accurately translate the movement into the cursor movement. The SCOPE NODE is also characterized by its laser sensor position aligned to that of the pen tip, so that the sensor's high-resolution performance (1,600 dpi) can be accurately represented on the screen. In short, you can use "a PC monitor and a mouse" just like "a piece of paper and a pen" because you can use the mouse just "like you're holding a pen!" for writing or drawing.

The BCN AWARD commends top companies (in sales volume) in different product categories in Japan. The award is based on POS data collected from major PC shops and appliance stores, etc. and is compiled on an annual basis.
