ELECOM CO., Ltd. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President: Junji Hada) will introduce three lines of protective case for iPads: silicon case, shell case and polyurethane case. They will be launched in late June.
Following Apple's hottest new release of the iPad on May 28, ELECOM will introduce three types of protective case for iPad, together with a protective film for liquid crystal screens which ELECOM is already distributing in the market.
The AVA-PA10SC series is a package of a soft silicon case and a protective film for the iPad's liquid crystal screen. The combined use of the perfectly-fitting case and the screen-wide protective film ensures protection of your iPad from scratches, dust and dirt. An antistatic coating on the surface of the silicon case repels dirt and dust. The case is also equipped with a Dock Connector Cover, which prevents dirt and dust from entering the cable connection area.
The AVA-PA10PC series is a package of a lightweight but robust polycarbonate shell case and a protective film for the iPad's liquid crystal screen. The film provides secure protection for the entire screen, and the shell case made of thin polycarbonate resin houses the iPad body securely. The case fits the iPad perfectly, is thin and lightweight, and does not detract from its beauty. You won't be bothered physically or visually by the use of this protective case.
The AVA-PA10UC series is a package of a polyurethane case and a protective film for the iPad's liquid crystal screen. The case is durable and elastic at the same time, thanks to its TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) material which provides a higher level of durability than silicon and a higher level of elasticity than plastics. Combined use of the case and the screen cover film ensures full protection of your iPad.
All these three lines come with a ready-to-use protective film perfectly fitting the iPad liquid crystal screen. Using the film on the screen does not impair touch screen operability; operation of the iPad with the film is just as smooth as without it. A self-adhesive silicon membrane on the surface of the film enables a user to apply or reapply the film to the screen easily, unlike those films using glue or double-sided adhesive tape. The adhesive strength of the film, if weakened through long-time use, can be recovered by washing it in water.
