ELECOM CO., LTD. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka, Japan; President: Junji Hada) will release a new, super slim, High Speed HDMI-Micro cable with Ethernet, at the beginning of February, with a mere 2.5mm in diameter. Ideal for connecting a smartphone with an HDMI-Micro output port to a TV, allowing you to enjoy your smartphone images on a large screen.
The “MPA-HD14USS Series” is a High Speed HDMI-Micro slim cable with only 2.5mm in diameter.
It allows you to display images and sounds from a smartphone fitted with an
HDMI-Micro output port, on an LCD TV. This cable supports the latest HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) standard that allows you transmit high definition images with just one cable, and also includes Ethernet capability.
It supports HDMI (Type A) ⇔ HDMI-Micro (Type D) connections, allowing you to connect devices with an HDMI-Micro output port, such as smartphones, to devices with an HDMI input port, such as LCD TVs. It can be used in a variety of settings, such as displaying smartphone content on a large HDTV screen, or doing presentations by connecting to a conference room’s HD projector. The cable is very slim so it is very easy to handle when connected, and it is also handy for carrying around and storing away.
The “MPA-HD14USS Series” features the highest quality specification for
transmitting image content stored in smartphones. The cable itself supports
the highest 4K2K (4,096 x 2,160 dots) resolution, and is capable of transmitting
images in 3D Full HD (1080p x 2 screens). It supports color depths from
24bit (Full Color) to 30/36/48bit (Deep Color), allowing it to display
a great range of colors, in a variety of gradients including monochrome,
to produce beautiful images on screen.
The connectors are made with gold plated plugs, which are resistant to rust and reduce touch resistance, increasing its durability and safety.
Although the cable is extremely slim, it protects signals from external noise or internal cable interference, offering stable signal transmission, thanks to its triple-shielded construction. It is available in 5 different lengths to suit their environment, from 0.5m to 2.5m, in either black or white.
Additionally, it also supports “HEC (HDMI Ethernet Channel)” allowing Ethernet communications of 100Mbps over HDMI cables. Hence, it can also be used for Ethernet connections when used for connecting to AV devices over a network. It also supports ARC (Audio Return Channel), which can transmit digital sound from receivers, such as HDTVs, to transmitters, such as AV amplifiers. This allows you to transmit sound from a TV to an AV amp with just one HDMI cable. |
