ELECOM CO., LTD. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka, Japan; President: Junji Hada) and One2Touch (Head office: Norway; CEO: Oyvind Holtedahl) have worked in collaboration to design and develop an NFC keyboard which will be launched onto the Japanese market this summer.

One2Touch is a venture company established in June 2009 by a group of engineers in Norway. They have productized this new keyboard based on NFC technology, and have partnered with Elecom to finalize the last few details of the product. *One2Touch’s Touch & Type is a worldwide patented technology.

NFC keyboards do not need to use cables or establish pairings; a smartphone can simply be placed on top of the keyboard, allowing you to type text in comfortably. It is made of silicone material so it can be folded into a compact shape, making it very portable. This keyboard can be used when out on the move; a very useful device for typing in text when answering e-mails on your smartphone.
