Starting at the end of April, ELECOM CO., LTD. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka, Japan; President: Junji Hada) will release three new types of compact USB fans, a total of four series in all, that are easy to use and recommended for cutting down on energy consumption.
Three series of these new USB fans can be used for easy personal cooling in places that raise A/C temperatures in an effort to reduce energy consumption during the summer months. All models can be easily used by connecting to the USB port of a hub or PC. In rooms with high temperatures, things like people who sweat little by little and are sensitive to the heat, or PC lockups caused by excessive heat generation, can all become worrisome. It's here that these fans can play a role in gently cooling down overheated bodies or devices, or any variety of situations.
All four series offer low power consumption, and include an ON/OFF switch so they can be used only when needed. They are all highly recommended as a means to decrease A/C and energy consumption.
The FAN-U18N and FAN-U18NA series are quiet models that use four blades to maintain good air flow while not creating bothersome noise. Their design is stylish and keeps the room interior in mind, and they are recommended for those who have hesitated to buy due to the lackluster designs of existing USB fans. The design is cute, with style and taste. The fan blades match the colorful, compact bodies, so you can enjoy a cool, refreshing desktop. The FAN-U18NA series includes an AC adapter that can be connected to a normal power outlet, so you can use the fan even if you don't have an available PC or USB port.
The FAN-U19D series is foldable and can even operate with batteries, making it convenient to carry with you.
It is simple and has no cover, and has a design that keeps the room's interior in mind, so that it doesn't seem out of place even when put on a desktop.
The FAN-U20 series uses a Sirocco (multi-fin) fan that is compact, yet delivers powerful air flow. The ON/OFF switch features a convenient, easy to use touch sensor.
All series are equipped with a louver on the fan unit that can be adjusted up and down to change the direction of the air flow. They're compact and won't get in the way when placed on your desktop, making them optimal for office use. As for color variations, the FAN-U18N series includes black, brown, pink, and white. The three other series each come in standard black or white.
